A Message from the President
In November of 2011, The Royal Conservatory celebrates its 125th year as an international leader in the fields of music education and performance training.
It is a distinct honour to be at the helm of this treasured Canadian institution as it achieves a new landmark in its history while entering a new era of its future. As one of the few cultural organizations in Canada that have thrived for more than a century, The Royal Conservatory is celebrating 125 continuous years of vision, inspiration, transformation, and most of all, the pure joy of creating and sharing music.
Today, more than ever before, it is The Royal Conservatory’s mission to develop human potential using the incredible power of music and the arts. From serving underprivileged youth in high-needs communities using innovative arts-based learning methodologies to offering performance training programs at all levels, and so much in between, The Royal Conservatory is truly making a difference in the lives of Canadians of all ages.
To commemorate its momentous anniversary, The Royal Conservatory is raising its campaign goal from $110 million to a symbolic $125 million, sparking the creation of the 125th Anniversary Campaign. This ambitious new goal is a strong expression of our belief that music and the arts have the ability to change lives and foster cohesive communities, and we are encouraging people everywhere to help us raise money in support of our many life-changing programs and initiatives.
A contribution in any amount will ensure our ability to continue delivering the extraordinary benefits of music and the arts to more people than ever before. I invite you to browse through these pages to learn more about the many ways you can support The Royal Conservatory’s 125th Anniversary Campaign as we celebrate this exciting occasion in our distinguished history.
On behalf of The Royal Conservatory, thank you for your support of our important work and our inspiring vision for the future of all Canadians.
Sincerely,
Dr. Peter Simon
President, The Royal Conservatory
