About This Event

Cree storyteller, playwright, novelist, pianist, and Order of Canada recipient was named one of the 100 most important people in Canadian history by Macleans. Highway says, “I want to convey that our primary responsibility on planet Earth is to be joyful: to laugh, and to laugh, and to laugh.” The evening features songs from five Tomson works, including The Sage, the Dancer, and the Fool; Rose; The Incredible Adventures of Mary Jane Mosquito; The (Post) Mistress; and his new Songs in the Key of Cree, sung in Cree with English supertitles.
