Art of Time Ensemble Andrew Burashko, Artistic Director
Now in its eleventh season, the Art of Time Ensemble is one of Toronto's most innovative and artistically accomplished music ensembles. Art of Time presents performances that are based on classical music but have thrilling twists of artistry, often combining contemporary music or disciplines such as dance, film, and theatre/literature with classical pieces. The Ensemble has performed throughout Canada and Europe.
Andrew Burashko made his debut at the age of seventeen with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and has since established himself as one of the most sought-after soloists in Canada. Known for his passionate performances and eclectic repertoire, Mr. Burashko has performed with most of the Canadian orchestras and collaborated with conductors Marin Alsop, Andrew Davis, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, and Pinchas Zukerman, among many others. As a soloist he has performed extensively throughout Canada, the United States, and Europe, and, as a chamber musician, he regularly collaborates with Canada's top artists and performs in festivals throughout Canada and Europe.
Andrew Burashko is a graduate of The Royal Conservatory's Glenn Gould School and is a faculty member of the Young Artists Performance Academy. Art of Time Ensemble presented their SONGBOOK with Sarah Slean at The Royal Conservatory on October 22, 2009.
