A night of outstanding music and joyous celebration to honour Cantor Benjamin Z. Maissner on his 30th anniversary as Cantor of Holy Blossom Temple. The evening, produced by DAVID WARRACK, will feature a star-studded musical cast including performances by:
ISABEL BAYRAKDARIAN- international opera star
MICHAEL BURGESS - star of Toronto's Les Miserables
DANIEL DOMB - principal cellist of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra for 25 years
MOSHE HAMMER -violin master
MARK MASRI- songwriter, pianist and vocalist extraordinaire
JOSHUA NELSON - famous for his "Kosher Gospel"
LOUISE PITRE - star of Broadway's Mama Mia and nominated for a Tony award
JACKIE RICHARDSON - sings blues, jazz and gospel and starred in At the Cookery and Ain'tMisbehavin
AMY SKY - popular singer and songwriter
THERESA TOVA - one of the 3 "Yiddish Divas"
HOLY BLOSSOM CHOIR, HOLY BLOSSOM TEMPLE SINGERS and LACHAN JEWISHCHAMBER CHOIR are featured along with Cantors Morris Glazman, Ted Labow, David Rosen, Michael Smolash and Cantorial Soloist Lindi Rivers, all trained and mentored by Beny Maissner.
A dessert reception (Kashruth observed) will follow the event in the Koerner Hall Lobbies.
